There are a few reasons I avoid IKEA products for my sex life. First of all, they are a pain in the ass to put together. At some point during their “some assembly required” I am cussing out the object, the company, and whoever wrote the damn instructions that make no sense.
Second, IKEA furniture is largely made up of particle board. Particleboard is a cheap and not so sturdy material that can’t handle a lot of weight or movement.
Disaster is bound to happen. Imagine trying to play the role of sexy secretary only to have the desk collapse under you, sending you crashing to the ground with your partner landing on top of you. It is not fun. It leaves scars (mostly internal and on your ego but they are scars nonetheless).
