LELO Ida Review

The LELO Ida has been featured in high profile magazines (you know, like the Enquirer or T.V. Guide) and claims to be the first vibrator designed especially for couples. My first impression, looking at the toy is that I am not entirely sure if this will work with every couple.

Since the LELO Ida is intended to be used as a couple, to test this toy fully I had to enlist the help of a partner. (The search begins)

After a very careful selection process of throwing a dart at a group of pictures and seeing where it landed, (this took a few tries I have horrible aim and hit my cat a couple of times) I was ready to see if the Ida would stand up to the hype.

Why Do You Need The Lelo Ida

If you’re looking for a discreet vibrator that won’t be too loud, the Ida from Lelo is a great choice.

The noise level reaches 50 dB at its highest, making it pretty quiet while inserted yet noticeable if used outside the body.

Plus, it’s completely waterproof so you can take it with you in the shower, bathtub, hot tub, or at your nearest water park for some extra fun.

This dual stimulation massager is made with body safe materials like abs plastic and soft silicone. (Kind of like my best friend’s boobs)

The LELO Ida is a remote controlled device with a range of up to ten feet, so can let your partner take control of your pleasure in or out of the bedroom.

This unique vibrator has rumbly vibrations and offers simultaneous stimulation of your clit and G-Spot to bring you to orgasm faster than other toys.

Downsides

Having sex while wearing the Ida can be uncomfortable for some, especially if your partner is well endowed. (Luckily, I did not have this problem with my partner, which is another reason I am looking for a new one.)

The missionary position is probably the best position to use the Ida in, but the thrusting may not be so pleasant.

The noise level is another problem with the Ida. It should not be used in any place that is usually quiet. (So church and family dinners are out.)

What's In The Box?

Lelo Ida deep rose in a box

The remains of what once was my pride and dignity. (Just kidding. Those have been long gone for a while now.)

Inside the discreetly packaged plain brown box is: (drum roll please)

  • Lelo Ida vibrator (What!? Are you serious?)
  • A USB charging cord
  • User manual
  • A sample of Lelo’s water based lube (Use it!)
  • A satin travel & storage pouch (Because LELO likes fancy things)
  • A wireless remote control (Because having it connected with wires would be weird) and 2 AAA batteries
  • Warranty Registration Card (Keep with your receipt)

How To Use The LELO Ida

This is definitely a sex toy you want to read the instructions for. You can do this while you are waiting the agonizing two hours it takes to charge the Ida.

Once it’s fully charged, make sure to clean the toy thoroughly with warm water and let air dry before using it.

Add a water based lube then insert the vaginal arm. (Take a guess where. That’s right, your vagina.) Don’t forget this step. (Trust me it makes a huge difference.)

lelo ida

To turn the sex toy simply click your heels together… wait that’s not right. I’m sure there is a power button somewhere. (You can find it. I have faith in you) The +/- buttons will increase/decrease the intensity.

The remote control will let you change the settings without having to move the toy. It also gives you the option of giving the power of controlling the LELO Ida to your partner. (With great power comes great responsibility. Don’t screw it up!)

To turn the device off (show it a collection of vintage Star Trek memorabilia) or press the – button to lower the vibration and eventually turns the device off. The button in the middle helps you select a mode. (When using the remote, remember this is not a video game; you don’t need combo moves.)

Syncing the vibrator with the remote is also simple: Click the side-button on the vibrator and the + button on the remote and place them side-by-side. This puts the device in SenseMotion and you are ready to go.

When you are finished with the toy, make sure to clean it properly and store it someplace safe. (I put mine in the China cabinet. My guests are always speechless when they see my collection.)

Lelo Ida And Public Play

Something to be aware of during public play is the noise level. The toy itself has a noise level of 50 dB, so it is best to pick a place that has background noise to cover. (I’ll admit the library wasn’t my best decision but you live and learn)

The remote itself vibrates as well. You may want to turn the vibrations off by holding down the middle button before attempting a public play.

The most important thing to keep in mind when it comes to public play is to pick a partner who isn’t a giant manchild, trying their best to embarrass you. (I probably need a better selection process)

My Experience With The LELO Ida

I have mixed feelings about the Ida. The clitoral stimulation gives a great sensation on the clit while the vaginal arm stimulates the G-Spot to give you a blended orgasm.

Having sex with it on can be uncomfortable in certain positions. (And if my partner was any bigger, it would hurt a lot.)

While it’s not my favorite toy, it has its benefits, and if you have the extra cash (Check out my GoFundMe page), it is worth buying.

Since LELO came out with the Ida they have made upgrades and fixed the problems that came along with this device. All of them are worth checking out.

Lelo Ida Vs LELO Ida Wave

comparison Lelo Ida Vs LELO Ida Wave

The LELO Ida Wave is one of many similar toys that followed the Ida. (Copycat!) It is an updated version of the Ida, with WaveMotion technology instead of SenseMotion technology. The Ida Wave took things a step further with the LELO app control instead of using a remote control.

The Wave took everything we loved about the Ida and improved it while fixing the things we didn’t like to create the perfect toy. (stay tuned for the LELO Ida Wave review.) The Ida Wave provides the clitoral stimulation and stimulation of the g spot that the Ida does.

Should You Buy The LELO Ida? Conclusion

Yes, you should definitely buy the LELO Ida! The Ida has some really cool features that make it stand out from the crowd.

Firstly, the g spot stimulation is created by the vaginal arm that rotates in a circular motion while in use. This is a feature that you don’t usually see in toys.

Yes, you should definitely buy the LELO Ida! The Ida has some really cool features that make it stand out from the crowd.

Firstly, the g spot stimulation is created by the vaginal arm that rotates in a circular motion while in use. This is a feature that you don’t usually see in toys.

The more intense vibrations that come from the clitoral stimulator part of the toy are pretty powerful to provide intense clitoral stimulation. The vibrations travel down the shaft to the end of the toy to stimulate your g spot as well.

Even though the vibrations aren’t as strong against your g spot as they are on your clit, the pressure provided by the rotating arm gives you an unbelievable sensation.

The toy is made to be used by couples because the vibration is shared between the two partners. (I am currently looking for a new partner to test it again)

The woman gets to feel the vibrations against her clitoris and vaginal canal, while the man has his penis massaged at the same time. (It’s a win-win situation!)

Overall, the LELO Ida is a great toy that is definitely worth checking out. It can provide some really enjoyable experiences for both partners.

So, if you’re looking for a toy that can provide both pleasure and dual stimulation, the LELO Ida is definitely worth considering. To get to know more about the upgraded version

FAQ

What is the LELO Ida?

The LELO Ida is a plot to overthrow the government and replace the key players with B-list celebrities to see if anyone will notice. (I bet you they don’t.)

Okay… The LELO Ida is a vibrator. (What? No way!) Designed by LELO to bring couples closer together and allow them to experience the same pleasure at the same time. With the use of new technology, LELO created the first couples vibrator. Since its creation the Ida has become a top seller amongst couples.

The LELO Ida is the first of LELO’s sex toys designed with couple in mind. The smaller size is meant to allow you to easily insert the toy into your vagina, and wear it during sex.

The two separate motors provide a clitoral stimulator as well as a g spot stimulator.

The sex toy will also stimulate the shaft as well as the base of your partner’s penis with the vibration and motion to bring you both pleasure. (Because sharing is caring.) The toy is made of safe materials. The silky silicone texture of this vibrator feels soft against the skin.

How much does the LELO Ida cost?

This special little toy will cost you… One Million Dollars! (Thank you, Dr. Evil.)

LELO prides itself on making quality luxury sex products. (an expensive toy) Their toys are always made with high quality materials like body safe soft silicone and abs plastic. This means that they will outlast other toys. (Mine have outlasted a few boyfriends and a husband too.)

If you want your playthings to last and keep your vagina happy, you should keep an eye out for the LELO logo. This is a company that won’t let you down. I am a big fan of these products. (In case you want to know what I want for Christmas, Santa.)

Does The LELO Ida have a warranty?

The Ida comes with a one year warranty as well as a ten year quality guarantee.

That means if something should happen (like your vibrator blows up from overuse) during the first year, LELO will replace it for free. After the first year, you get a fifty percent discount on replacement products from their website.

The card that comes in the box will tell you how to register for it or you can hold on to your receipt and use that.

Users' Reviews

Much smaller than I thought it would be. At first it was difficult to use. My partner found it to be uncomfortable and didn't think that it would fit, but after playing around we found the best position for us. Start with her on her back, insert the toy first and use a good amount of lube. I really couldn't feel much of anything because it sits at the base of my penis, but she loved it.
Man with a beard
Alot of fun for all genders! Multi-functional, vibrating remote. Only wish the "arm" piece was a little longer, as it just barely reaches the right point. Also wish vibrations were slighty stronger and less noisy (comparing to Lelo Soraya which has great strength and is quiet). My boyfriend and I had alot of fun, not something we use all the time (like my Lelo Soraya) but it spices things up from time to time.
Woman with braided blond hair
I purchased this for my wife for Valentine's day. The first time we used it was to test out the range and strength. Range was okay, about ten feet, maybe a touch more. Strength was good enough to help with the deed. The remote took a little getting used to and the shaft did not quite reach inside enough to provide adequate stimulation on that end. It is a very good product, well made and a very enjoyable novelty. A bit pricey for what we've used it for thus far but it is definitely enjoyable.
Man with longer hair and beard
The thing is quite noisy. Don't think you're going to wear this under clothing on a night out. Both the unit and the remote vibrate so that you know what setting it's on at the time. The curve doesn't match up with any of my "good" spots. The clit portion needs to be more narrowed and streamlined for actual stimulation of the proper areas on the majority of females. Use a good lubricant if starting with the unit, the flesh like material does not slide very well on its own. It gets caught on both male and female parts if not properly "warmed up".
Woman with ginger hair
This toy is made for a large woman and small man. To say the woman feels stuffed is an understatement. The outside diameter of the part you insert is 15/16". Looking at the pictures we were thinking about half that size. Tried to return but had attempted to use once so of course no go. The vibrations do work and so does the remote which is cool. Too bad it has to be so massive. We have other Lelo toys and they work well. Stay away from this one unless you have lots of room to spare.
